The entire Details Team traveled to Las Vegas for the Wedding MBA Annual Convention! We had such a wonderful time seeing our friends in the industry and making many new ones. Here is a recap of our trip to Wedding MBA!
Monday, November 7th
The team arrived on Monday, and we went straight to work setting up our booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center. We had the opportunity to watch our friend Ace give a very informative presentation about different mechanics to achieve a broken arch and floral wall. He even gave Details a little shout-out on how he determines the pricing for all of his designs!
After we set up our booth, we celebrated our first night in Vegas at Superfrico restaurant at the Cosmopolitan. The food was Italian-American cuisine, and the entertainment was so unique. From magicians to jugglers and to all of the crazy characters we encountered, Superfrico was a hit to kick off our Vegas Trip!
Tuesday, November 8th
To prepare for the first big day at Wedding MBA, we had a delicious breakfast at The Bellagio at Sadelle's. The views were absolutely stunning as our table overlooked the Bellagio Conservatory Fall Floral Display.
Our Partner, Jet Fresh Flower Distributors, provided all of the beautiful blooms for our booth and our special Design Competition. The blooms were a hit, and we received so many compliments about how fresh (pun intended!) everything looked. We cannot thank you enough, Jet Fresh Team! We had Derek Woodruff from Floral Underground, and Ace Berry from Fulshear Floral Design go head to head in a chopped-style design competition. Everyone who stopped by our booth could vote on their favorite design during the expo. The big winner of the completion was Ace Berry! The winning vote of the winning designer received a $500 Gift Coupon to Jet Fresh and One Year Subscription to Details! Thank you, Derek and Ace, for participating in our fun competition!

Our CEO, Corrine Heck, presented on the Wed-Talk Stage about "Navigating the World of Freelance Design" where she presented some florist freelancing dos and don'ts, how to identify red flags when hiring freelance designers, and more best practices!
We celebrated a successful day one at the expo with our friends from Jet Fresh and Ace Berry! We had a wonderful evening at the Bellagio, followed by fun times at Caesars Palace. It is certainly a night to remember when all flower friends are together!
Wednesday, November 9th
Corrine's "Ivy League: Smart Floral Decisions" presentation covered smart systems that save you time and money, lower-cost customer acquisitions, flower workshops, expos, and vendor relationships.
Thursday, November 10th
Due to Hurricane Nicole hitting Central Florida as we were supposed to land back home, all of our flights were canceled, and we had one more night in Vegas to enjoy. Corrine surprised the team with Floor Seats to the Jonas Brothers Concert opening night at the Park MGM Theatre. We cannot thank her enough for the generosity and love she gives us. Thank you for everything, Corrine!! It was certainly a night to remember.
This year's Wedding MBA was such an incredible experience for the whole team. We thank everyone who was involved in making the magic happen for this event. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
