In the modern world, data is just about the most valuable entity we all possess. It's a kind of big, vague sort of concept, because it can mean many things. From something as important as your bank account and accounting information down to small things like what your shopping preferences are, data is being collected about all of us and has become a very essential part of how we interface with the world.
At Details, we take great care to protect your data. One of the simplest ways we keep you safe is by carefully considering what data is necessary to house on our servers and what is not. What does that mean?
It means that we only allow our users to enter and store data on our site that is not considered sensitive. No identifying or billing information is held in Details, and that makes us a low-value target for anyone who might try and steal your data. If we don't keep highly-sensitive data in the site, there's less likelihood in anybody taking an unsavory interest in it.
That's not to say that your client, event, payment, and other records aren't valuable. We know just how much our community counts on us to manage all of their essential event details, so we take measures to protect everything with sophistication and redundancy. We have servers around the world that hold copies of your data, and all of them are backed up on a regular basis to make sure nothing is ever lost.
As previously mentioned, we never share any user or account information with anyone. We do, however, use this data to help us inform our processes here internally. We're always striving to improve the platform and experience for everyone, and analyzing trends, activity, and behaviors helps us to better understand how people are using Details and where they're seeing the value.
All companies in the tech industry operate in a similar fashion, collecting and analyzing user data, but the difference at Details is that we don't share or sell any of the data we collect. Its sole purpose is for our team to get to better know our community as a whole. And it's fascinating!
By analyzing behavioral data we are able to predicate the future, and as time goes on our accuracy in our predictions continues to improve. What does that mean for you? That means we have the tools to see what features are being heavily used and should be further developed, we know what times of the week, month, and year are busiest for our community and that informs when we need to be available and at what capacity, and we can even identify which members of our community might need an extra touch or encouraging phone call!
As we've mentioned here, we know exactly how valuable your data is. And we know how important it is to have control over it. That's why we've built tools into Details to allow you to pull lists and export various portions of your data. All of your basic event info, client info and contact information, payment account balances, and items and inventory can be readily accessed and downloaded by you at any time. You don't even have to make a special request to our team to get it, though we're happy to help walk you through the process if you need some assistance!
We do everything we can to keep our members around - part of that is making sure they know the door is open to leave if they should choose to. We're not ever going to hold you back by creating barriers, that's just the way we do business.
