The 141st Society of American Florists Annual Convention was held at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. From August 17–21, the week was packed with learning, inspiring conversations, celebrations, and, of course, flowers! If you couldn’t make it this year, here’s our recap of the event.

Every two years, Greg and I always enjoy attending the Fun ’N Sun Convention. It’s an event we always look forward to—a space where growers, wholesalers, florists, and technology partners come together under one roof. The atmosphere in Pasadena this August was fantastic, and CalFlowers outdid themselves to ensure there was nonstop momentum throughout the event.

Running a floral studio means wearing every hat at once: designer, sales rep, logistics coordinator, and—all too often—unpaid invoice collector. When wedding season hits, the business side of floral design can quickly eclipse the creative work that made you start in the first place.
