# 80 Years of Innovation: Celebrating Syndicate Sales and Its Legacy in Floristry

What does it take to remain part of an industry for 80 years?
For Syndicate Sales, the answer seems to be a combination of knowing what to hold onto and knowing when to move forward. Established in 1946, Syndicate Sales is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2026. Three generations later, the family-owned company remains headquartered in Kokomo, Indiana, continuing to create products and solutions for the floral industry and beyond.
For us at Details Flowers Software, milestones like this are worth celebrating—not simply because 80 years is an impressive accomplishment, but because companies that remain connected to florists for that long become part of the industry's story.

## It Started with the Aquapic
Syndicate's history in floristry began with a product that solved a very practical problem.
In 1946, Del Demaree Sr. invented the Aquapic, a translucent water tube that, according to Syndicate, helped revolutionize flower care. That spirit of ingenuity became the foundation for the company and continues to influence the products it develops today.
The Aquapic is also a great example of something we love about the floral industry: sometimes the products that make the biggest difference aren't necessarily complicated. They simply solve a problem well.
Eight decades later, the Aquapic remains part of Syndicate's floral offerings, a reminder that innovation doesn't always mean replacing what came before. Sometimes, it means creating something so useful that it becomes a staple.
