Introducing the 2025 Duel of The Delphiniums Contest!

Attention Florists! We are excited to announce a new contest to kick off 2025 with a bang. We proudly introduce the Duel of the Delphiniums Contest in collaboration with Ball SB and the Society of American Florists (SAF)! 

Get ready to showcase your floral creativity in a competition like no other! Details Flowers Software, Ball SB, and SAF are bringing you Duel of The Delphiniums. This exciting March Madness-style contest celebrates the artistry and passion of florists. This year, we’re challenging you to create breathtaking designs using Delphinium varieties from BallSB. The more unique, the better! 

Delphiniums Like No Other

Delphinium, named after the Greek word dolphin due to its unique shape resembling a dolphin's tail, is a flower that brings beauty and versatility to any design. One of its standout features is its uniform blooming, which makes harvesting easier and more efficient. The double blooms come in striking, unique colors, excelling over other commercial varieties and adding a special touch to designs. No matter what you're creating, Delphinium is an essential addition to your collection. The Contest: How It Works

It’s simple: create a unique design using Delphinium varieties from BallSB, submit it, and let the public vote determine which design advances each week in a bracket-style format. The competition will culminate in a final showdown, where one lucky florist will be crowned the Duel of the Delphiniums Champion on April 11, 2025. Enter as a solo participant or have your whole staff involved for a fun teambuilding experience!

The winner of the Duel of The Delphiniums Contest will take home:

• $500 credit to BallSB to shop from their fantastic collection of blooms.

• Complimentary registration to the 2025 Society of American Florists Annual Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, plus a one-year subscription to Floral Management Magazine to keep you informed and inspired.

How to Enter

Here’s how you can be part of this exciting event:

1. Submit an Entry Form: Interested in participating? Fill out the entry form to tell us why you should be selected to compete. Deadline: March 6, 2025. (Deadline for entries has passed)
2. Top 16 Selected: 16 florists will be chosen to compete. Selected participants will be notified and receive a surprise box with 150 stems of Delphinium varieties to bring their designs to life. The top 16 will be announced on March 7, 2025.
3. Create and Submit Your Design: The chosen 16 florists will have until March 24 to craft their floral masterpieces and submit a high-quality photo of their creations.
4. Head-to-Head Voting: Starting on March 25, the first round of public voting will take place during the March Details University Live session. From there, designs will face off each week, with florists voting for their favorites until a winner emerges on April 11, 2025.
