The beauty of floral design and the stories behind it came together at Fleurs de Villes DIANA, a special exhibition celebrating the life and legacy of Diana, Princess of Wales. Held at Somerset House in London, the exhibition brought together talented British floral designers to recreate some of Diana’s most iconic fashion moments using fresh flowers.
While in London for the FPC Awards and BFA FleurEx, our CEO, Corrine Heck, had the opportunity to attend the exhibition. As a longtime supporter and friend of the Fleurs de Villes team and community, it was a particularly meaningful experience and a wonderful opportunity to see the creativity and artistry of the participating florists firsthand.

The exhibition featured 15 floral mannequins inspired by some of Diana’s most memorable dresses and fashion moments. From elegant evening gowns to looks that made headlines worldwide, each design was thoughtfully recreated with fresh flowers.
The attention to detail was remarkable. The floral designers captured the colors, silhouettes, and defining features of Diana’s iconic outfits, transforming them into beautiful works of floral art. Each mannequin offered a unique interpretation of a familiar look, showcasing the creativity, technical skill, and imagination of the florists behind the designs.
Beyond the fashion, each creation also told a story. The exhibition celebrated Diana’s influence on fashion, her humanitarian work, and the lasting impact she continues to have on people around the world.

At the heart of Fleurs de Villes DIANA was the incredible talent of the participating floral designers. Each mannequin was created by a different British florist, bringing together a variety of styles and artistic perspectives.
The participating floral businesses included:
Acacia Creative Studio, Art Flower Design, Atelier Flora, BLÜM Floral, bloom east, Claridge's Flowers, Cloud Hill Flowers, C. Taylor's Floristry, The Flower House, Fabulous Flowers, Flowers by Donna, Jade Loftus Floral Design, Monet's Florist, Moss Floral Art, Raybould & Wild, Studio Fifty Three Florist, Yan Skates, Debrah J Flowers, Emma Soulsby Weddings Ltd, Ether Events, The Good Florist Guide, Hana Blossom, Shilpa Reddy Flowers, The Gravesend Florist, and The Bloom Room.
Each designer brought their own creative vision to the exhibition, transforming fresh blooms into intricate recreations of Diana's iconic dresses. Their work demonstrated the many ways floral design can go beyond traditional arrangements to become an expressive form of art and storytelling.

Bringing an exhibition of this scale to life takes a community of dedicated partners. Fleurs de Villes DIANA was made possible by several organizations and businesses that helped create the experience.
The exhibition's partners included:
The Diana Award served as the exhibition's charity partner. Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the organization continues her belief in the power of young people to make a positive difference. A portion of ticket sales and proceeds from select offerings supported the charity's programs.
The collaboration among the floral designers, partners, and the Fleurs de Villes team helped create an experience that celebrated both floral artistry and Diana's enduring legacy.

More than a floral exhibition, DIANA was a celebration of a woman whose compassion and humanitarian work continue to inspire generations. From her advocacy for people affected by HIV and AIDS to her work raising awareness of landmines, the exhibition highlighted the causes Diana championed throughout her life.
Through fashion, floral artistry, and storytelling, visitors experienced her legacy from a fresh perspective. The exhibition was a beautiful reminder of how flowers can communicate emotion, preserve memories, and bring meaningful stories to life.
We are grateful to the Fleurs de Villes team for continuing to create inspiring experiences and for their ongoing contributions to the floral community. DIANA was a beautiful celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the enduring power of flowers to tell a story.
