# The Best of UK Floristry at FleurEx 2026

This October, the Details Flowers Software team had the opportunity to travel across the pond to Nottingham for[FleurEx](https://britishfloristassociation.org/fleurex/)[**2026**](https://britishfloristassociation.org/fleurex/), a weekend celebrating the creativity, talent, and business of the floral industry.
FleurEx brought together florists, growers, suppliers, designers, and floral professionals from across the UK and beyond for a weekend filled with education, inspiration, connection, and plenty of beautiful flowers. For Details, it was especially exciting to be part of the show as both an exhibitor and a sponsor of the Business Drop-In Sessions.
## Supporting the Business Drop-In Sessions

As a sponsor of the Business Drop-In Sessions, we were proud to support a program focused on some of the real-world challenges and opportunities facing floral businesses today.
The sessions covered a wide range of topics, from sustainability and British flower growing to profitability, artificial intelligence, wedding bookings, and what happens before flowers even reach a florist’s shop.

The variety of conversations was a great reflection of the floral industry itself — there is always something new to learn, whether you're looking at the creative side of floristry, the supply chain, sustainability, marketing, or the numbers behind your business.

## Corrine Talks Profitability
On Sunday morning, Corrine took part in the Business Drop-In program with her session, **“Are You Actually Making Money on That Job?”**
As a florist-turned-software developer, Corrine has spent more than 25 years working alongside floral professionals and understands firsthand how easy it can be to focus on creating beautiful work while losing sight of the numbers behind it.
Her session focused on one of the most important questions any florist can ask: *Are you actually making money?*
From understanding costs and pricing to examining the profitability of individual jobs, the conversation encouraged florists to focus on the financial side of their businesses and ensure their hard work translates into healthy margins.
We were thrilled to see such strong interest in the session and to be part of a program that gives floral professionals practical tools and conversations they can take back to their businesses.
## Meeting Florists at the Details Booth
Throughout the show, our team was also on the exhibition floor, meeting florists and floral professionals from across the UK.
One of our favorite parts of attending events like FleurEx is getting to have those face-to-face conversations with the people who use Details, those who are curious about the software, and those who simply want to share what is happening in their businesses.
Being able to talk about the challenges florists face — and hear directly from those experiencing them — is incredibly valuable to our team. Those conversations help shape how we continue to develop Details and ensure we create tools that are genuinely useful for floral businesses.

## Inspiration Around Every Corner
Beyond the business conversations, FleurEx was also a celebration of floral artistry and creativity.
The Main Stage featured live demonstrations, panel discussions, Debut Designers, and presentations from some of the industry's leading voices. [Hanneke Frankema](https://hannekefrankema.com/), European Champion and a Master Florist of more than 20 years, brought her technical skill and creativity to the stage, while horticulturalist and television presenter [David Domoney](https://www.daviddomoney.com/) shared his knowledge and passion for plants.
The Debut Designers also brought fresh perspectives to the show, giving attendees an opportunity to discover emerging talent and see new approaches to floral design.
For anyone working in the floral industry, there was no shortage of ideas and inspiration to take home.
## Celebrating the BFA Awards

FleurEx weekend also gave us another reason to celebrate: Details Flowers Software was honored to be nominated for Floristry Service Provider of the Year at the BFA Awards.
The BFA Awards are an important opportunity to recognize the dedicated people and businesses that make up the floral industry, celebrating their skills, achievements, and contributions to the profession.
We were incredibly honored to be included among the nominees and to celebrate alongside so many talented people and businesses from across the industry.
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, recognized, and honored throughout the evening. Being surrounded by so many passionate people who continue to contribute to the growth of floristry made the celebration especially meaningful.
