The Details Team had an incredible experience at this year’s Wedding MBA! Corrine, Olivia, Sydney, Avery, and Christina traveled to Las Vegas to showcase how Details can transform floral businesses worldwide. It was a joy reconnecting with familiar flower friends we only see in Vegas and meeting many wonderful new ones.
For the second year in a row, we were proud to be the Floral Track sponsors and loved seeing attendees wearing Details lanyards throughout the event. Our CEO, Corrine, served as the room moderator for the Floral Room, where hundreds of florists gathered to learn the latest design techniques and business strategies to take back to their team and implement into their daily operations. If you missed out this year, check out our official recap!
The event's opening day was filled with insightful presentations tailored for florists, planners, venues, photographers, officiants, and other key wedding industry professionals. Wedding MBA truly offers something for everyone! In the Floral Room, Bron Hansboro, Jennifer Bernal, and Elizabeth Fisher took the stage, sharing their expertise on topics ranging from differentiating your business to designing standout focal structures for events. These presenters have honed their skills and are worth following as they continue to inspire and shape the industry!
We attended the Women in Floriculture meetup at the Las Vegas Convention Center to close out the day. This was the group's first meetup at Wedding MBA, and we hope to grow even more in the coming years.
Day two marked the start of the WedCon Exhibits, and we were thrilled to meet attendees and explore the array of vendors on the showroom floor. We were fortunate to feature stunning flowers from our partners at Jet Fresh, showcasing the incredible variety and quality they provide. Elizabeth Fisher's creative touch in designing our booth arrangements added a beautiful and unique element to our display. We also highlighted Stemskinz by Bloombudz in our vases, which perfectly complemented our branding. A huge thank you to Jet Fresh, Elizabeth, and Bloombudz for helping make our booth beautiful!
Corrine took to the WedTalk stage to share insights on "How Details Flowers Software Keeps Florists Organized."
Our second interview of the day was with Fern from Jet Fresh. We learned how the company fosters a family-like atmosphere for both employees and customers, whether they’re walking through the door or making a call. Jet Fresh is always thinking outside the box to present its unique products in new and innovative ways. This year, their booth at Wedding MBA was Area 51-themed and showcased out-of-this-world designs.
The last interview was with Mimi Pecheo from Jet Fresh and Liza Roeser from Fifty Flowers to highlight the Women in Floriculture Group. The Women in Floriculture Group is dedicated to empowering women in the floral industry through mentorship, education, and community support. It’s a fantastic way to connect with other women in the industry, build lasting relationships, and be part of a community that champions professional growth and collaboration. There are many ways to get involved with the group, with meet-ups at industry events, a monthly book club, and a growing online community. If you are interested in learning more, fill out this form!
The final day was packed with more opportunities to connect with florists at our booth and during floral room presentations. At our booth, we wrapped up the event with an interview featuring Laura Walsh and Kelly Mace from our partners at Smithers-Oasis. Smithers-Oasis is a renowned global brand known for its innovative tools that elevate floral designs. From their biodegradable foam to the essential tools that every florist trusts, we’re proud to have Smithers-Oasis as a valued partner of Details!
The final presenters of the day included Liza Roeser from Fifty Flowers, Darin Bahl of Tailored Twig, and Elizabeth Marberry. They covered various valuable topics, including the best ways to source your products, incorporate color, dimension, and texture into designs, and strategies for maximizing your ROI on social media. These sessions provided fantastic takeaways as we wrapped up the last day of presentations.
Throughout the event, we hosted the first-ever Floral Room Giveaway, partnering with Floral Exhibitors to offer exciting prizes to attendees. At the end of the day, we announced the winners of these fantastic prizes, providing a fun and memorable way to wrap up the 2024 event.
We want to thank everyone who made this event a success, from our floral partners to the staff at Wedding MBA. It is always a wonderful team bonding experience and a highlight to share. We can't wait to see you all again next year!
