This year’s AIFD Symposium, Reflection, held July 12–15 in Palm Springs, California, was nothing short of inspiring, and we were thrilled to be part of it! With retro flair, floral excellence, and a strong sense of community, this annual gathering of the industry’s most passionate professionals gave us a chance to learn, share, connect, and, yes—groove. Details Flowers Software was also proud to serve as the official procurement sponsor software for this year’s Symposium, helping bring the mainstage floral masterpieces to life!
We went all out to make our presence at the Symposium fun, engaging, and creative. From our booth in the Partner Showcase to our immersive suite experience, our goal was simple: open the space to everyone. And judging by the smiles, selfies, and repeat visits... we think it worked!

Our very own Corrine Heck took the stage—twice!
On the Spotlight Stage, Corrine gave a heartfelt and entertaining talk on the history of Details, showing how a simple idea grew into a leading software for floral professionals.
Later, she led a full educational session titled "Take the Lead: Outstanding Floral Presentations", focused on how florists can elevate their design storytelling and visual proposals to stand out, win clients, and build consistent brand trust.
The Main Stage presentations at AIFD Reflection 2025 were a breathtaking celebration of artistry, innovation, and storytelling, each one offering a unique lens into the floral design world. The symposium opened with “LEGACY”, presented by Jacob McCall AIFD and sponsored by Accent Decor and Jet Fresh. This inspiring session paid tribute to the rich history of AIFD, honoring legendary designers and pivotal moments that shaped the organization into what it is today. Later that day, Björn Kroner-Salié took the stage for “OUTLINES”, sponsored by Teleflora, guiding attendees through the principles of design theory and encouraging a thoughtful approach to structure, materials, and purpose in floral work.
The energy continued with “ELEMENTAL”, presented by Lynde DiSomma AIFD, Sharrai Morgan AIFD, Patti Fowler AIFD, and Nita Robertson AIFD, and sponsored by CalFlowers. This multi-regional collaboration explored the influence of the four natural elements—earth, air, fire, and water—on seasonal floral design. Derek Woodruff AIFD followed with “STYLUS”, a vibrant session sponsored by Syndicate Sales that examined the intersection of personal identity and floral style, challenging designers to define their creative fingerprint through color, branding, and emotion.
On Monday, Bart Hassam returned to the Main Stage with “Reflection of Nature”, sponsored by FTD® LLC, captivating the audience with his seamless fusion of natural forms and industrial structure. This was followed by “A Window Into Life’s Journey”, presented by Judy Janzen AIFD, Amber Kirkland AIFD, and Jesus Rivera AIFD, and sponsored by Accent Decor, which focused on the transformative power of window displays in retail spaces—inviting the public into a visual narrative that evolves through the seasons. Later that afternoon, “The Sustainable Future” with Per Benjamin and Max van de Sluis, sponsored by both Accent Decor and FTD LLC, brought a powerful message on designing with environmental intention, proving that sustainability and beauty can absolutely go hand in hand.
Tuesday's programming began with “Spirit of Aloha”, presented by Brenna Quan AIFD and Sue Tabbal-Yamaguchi AIFD, with support from Green Point Nurseries, the Hawaii Tropical Flower Council, and the Hawaii Floriculture & Nursery Association. This immersive session celebrated Hawaii’s floral legacy, honoring its rich history of exports and cultural influence through brilliant textures and vibrant compositions. Next was “WOW!” by Harijanto Setiawan, sponsored by Smithers-Oasis, who stunned the audience with his transformative approach to floral design—revealing how elements like rotation, reflection, and translation can elevate everyday compositions into sculptural masterpieces.
Closing out the symposium in spectacular fashion was “Pink Passion” by Pirjo Koppi AIFD, CFD, proudly sponsored by Details Flowers Software. Pirjo’s session overflowed with romantic energy and technical mastery, showcasing how bold color, exquisite craftsmanship, and passion for bridal bouquets can create unforgettable works of floral art.
At the beginning of the Pink Passion Main Stage presentation, we had the opportunity to showcase our floral friends in a fun video highlighting everything Details can do! If you have not had a chance to see our video, click the thumbnail below!
The AIFD Symposium is always a highlight on our calendar, but Palm Springs brought a truly unforgettable energy. From inspiring main stage presentations to spontaneous hallway conversations, it was a joy to connect with so many creative minds. The fun kicked off with the totally rad '80s-style Partner Reception, followed by the high-energy Disco in the Desert Gala, where we celebrated this year’s award recipients in full glitter and groove. The week wrapped with the elegant Shine Bright Like a Diamond Leadership Gala, a sparkling tribute to AIFD’s remarkable 60-year legacy.
