At SAF Amelia Island 2026, the Society of American Florists’ 141st Annual Convention, Rosaprima earned four honors in the 2026 Outstanding Varieties Competition. More than 400 floral professionals gathered, and Rosaprima claimed first and second place in the Spray Rose category, took Best in Class in Other Cut Flower, and placed second in Garden Rose.
New Moon, a spray rose in pastel yellow with a cream exterior, took Best in Show and Best in Class, the competition’s highest honors. With large, multiple buds that hold their form on their own or in mixed work, it gives designers a spray rose that can carry a piece independently or support a larger composition.
Last year, a ranunculus Natura Moderna took Best in Show. This year, a spray rose does. Different flower, same title, two years in a row.
Constellation, a medium pink spray rose with a large bud size and long vase life, earned the Red Ribbon for second place, placing alongside New Moon at the top of the Spray Rose category. Launched this year, it enters the market already carrying the kind of recognition most varieties take seasons to earn. Its color depth and structure hold well in garden-style and romantic work, where a spray rose needs to read as soft without losing shape over the course of an event, extending the category’s strong showing.
Ranunculus Natura Moderna Limoncello took Best in Class in the Other Cut Flower category. After Natura Moderna Dolce earned Best in Show last year for the same collection, this year’s win extends that record. The Natura Moderna collection again placed at the top of its category for a second consecutive year.
Powder Puff, a garden-like rose with a soft pastel pink tone deepening toward the center, earned second place in SAF’s Garden Rose category. Also launched this year, it brings the wide aperture, dense ruffling, and full petal count designers reach for in luxury, large-headed work, adding another example of the same standard.
Four varieties. Four honors. One standard behind all of them. These results reflect years of disciplined work, from selection to the final stem that reaches a designer’s hands. Two consecutive Best in Show titles, across two different flower types, mark a program that continues to place across categories rather than around a single result. New Moon, Constellation, Limoncello, and Powder Puff carry that same standard into the season ahead.
