A Letter from Our CEO Corrine Heck | October 2021

Congratulations- we made it to the 4th quarter!!  I’m always excited when October 1st rolls around, not just because of all the Fall colors & pumpkin spice lattes, but because it's a great time to finalize all those plans made way back in January.  This newsletter is a reminder that you can do it!  Let's celebrate this final quarter, by checking off all those lingering items.

The older I get, the more I realize that a good plan is necessary to reach goals.  Otherwise, your goals will never materialize. Have accountability!  It’s important to discuss your plans with your immediate circle, and celebrate when these goals are achieved.  Executing good plans almost always translates into a goal realized.  The most successful of individuals, everyone from top-level athletes to successful business people, or any high achievers all set goals for themselves.  They are perhaps the best at prioritizing their life towards reaching these goals.  Goal-setting helps you to better organize your day, your resources, and your team so that you can make the most of your time.

Each quarter, I enjoy setting time to meet one-on-one with each of my team members to discuss their goals, both personal and professional.  Not only does this help direct employee activities throughout the year, but also helps me motivate and encourage them throughout the year, and makes our relationships stronger.  I always encourage the team to set SMART goals.  Smart goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.  This method usually always makes for a successful plan.

Reminder: It’s always good to have balanced coverage in all the important areas of your life.   I’m always looking for ways to make my life more balanced, and my personal goals don’t always relate back to my business.  In addition to career goals, I remember to Financial, Educational, Family, Artistic, Attitude, Physical, Pleasure & Public Service goals.

Let's kick off this last quarter strong, with new goals in mind and the determination to exceed our own expectations.
