During this month’s Details University Live, attendees had the opportunity to ask it all. The session centered around their questions, ideas, and curiosity. From platform features to practical business strategies, the Details team explored a wide range of topics designed to help florists and event professionals not only use Details more effectively but also run smarter, more efficient businesses. As standard during our Details University Live sessions, Corrine introduced our guests, and each one gave a little background on their role here at Details. Each representative has an essential role in keeping the wheels turning day by day.

We loved giving everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the amazing women of Details—the voices who answer support calls, guide florists through the trial process, and bring the magic of Details to life for events and social media. Many of us came from careers outside the floral industry, and we all agreed on how welcoming this community has been—it truly feels like family. We didn't know anyone when we first started out, but over the years, we’ve built lasting friendships with industry peers, partners, and customers alike. One of the greatest highlights for our team is getting to meet, in person, the people we’ve connected with through emails and phone calls.

If you’re looking to build stronger connections with florists, wholesalers, farms, and industry organizations, attending events is one of the best investments you can make. These gatherings provide valuable opportunities to discover new products, sharpen your skills, and stay informed about the issues shaping our industry. Continuing education is essential for any business owner, and bringing your team along makes it an incredible bonding experience outside of the workplace. At Details, one of the perks we enjoy as employees is the chance to attend conferences firsthand—learning directly from industry leaders and then applying that knowledge to enhance what we offer our community.

Behind the Scenes 

stickynotes-2Many of our members are curious about the inner workings of Details, and one of the most common questions we receive is: How do new features get implemented?

The process always starts with our members. If there’s a feature you’d like to see in Details that isn’t currently available, you can submit a request directly from your account or by contacting us via email, phone, or chat. Every request is logged in our ticketing system, where we track the number of requests, assign priorities based on demand, and categorize them by the area of the software they impact.

From there, our development process begins. Once features are selected for implementation, they undergo extensive internal testing by our team to ensure functionality. Next, the features move into Beta testing, where a small group of selected members uses them in real-world scenarios and provides feedback. After testing is complete, we prepare for release by creating tutorial videos, support articles, and marketing assets to help members get the most out of the update. We also follow up with everyone who requested the feature to thank them and share the exciting news that their request has been implemented.

A recent example is our tipping feature, which many members requested. After its release, we received questions on how to present tipping to clients. Our recommendation: Turn it on and try it! Like in other service industries, florists should not avoid including tipping on invoices. Floristry is hard work, and it deserves to be recognized and rewarded!

We received questions about how to use Details as a marketing tool—and it’s a powerful one! Every event, styled shoot, or creative concept can be stored in your Details account. By building recipes for your styled shoots, you not only establish a clear budget but also professionally highlight your work. The recipes you create can be saved for future events or repurposed as digital mood boards to inspire social media content.

Building a strong brand is essential in today's social-driven world. Details helps you organize your designs so you can quickly create proposals that reflect your brand identity while also providing endless inspiration for marketing content.

Details Tip: Create an event in your account just for a styled shoot. Break down each design recipe and share the process—from concept to execution—across your social media channels.
